The travel currency quota was reduced back to 500 euros.

At the end of the year 1402, the travel currency quota, which had recently been increased to 1,000 euros, was reduced back to the previous limit of 500 euros.

In early March, the Central Bank of Iran announced that due to increased demand for travel currency at the end of the year, the travel currency quota would be increased.

The organization stated that the reason for this action was to manage the currency market and meet the currency needs of applicants. This quota was handed over to applicants when they were leaving airports in Iran.

With the implementation of this temporary plan in recent weeks, images of crowded lines of travelers waiting to receive travel currency and reports of some individuals exploiting this plan to obtain currency at a rate lower than the open market and canceling flights were published on social networks.
