Trump has agreed to permanent nuclear inspections with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that Iran has fully and unconditionally agreed to conduct nuclear inspections at the highest level and for an indefinite period
Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social that Iran has agreed to conduct nuclear inspections for a very long time in the future, indefinitely. If Iran did not accept this, there would be no other negotiations
He also said that based on this agreement and other concessions that he claims Iran has offered, the U.S. has agreed to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and not to reimpose a naval blockade
The U.S. President, however, emphasized that the country’s naval forces will remain in the region to ensure the possibility of reinstating the blockade if necessary, although he described such a scenario as unlikely
Trump also announced that the financial resources resulting from the easing of sanctions will be held in a trust account under U.S. supervision and will only be used to purchase food and medical equipment from the U.S.
These statements come as Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said hours earlier that Tehran has no plans to allow International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors access to nuclear facilities damaged in the war
Trump concluded by emphasizing that the negotiations are going well
