Trump Calls for Republicans to Vote for Full Release of Epstein Files
On Sunday, November 17, U.S. President Donald Trump released a message on Truth Social, urging Republican members of Congress to vote in favor of a proposal to fully release files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
In this message, he emphasized that there is nothing to hide and described the matter as a Democratic ploy to distract from the Republican Party’s successes.
Trump wrote that Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, stating that it’s time to move past this Democratic trick, designed by radical leftists, to overshadow our recent major victories, including ending the government shutdown.
Trump mentioned the release of thousands of pages of documents by the Department of Justice and wrote that the department is investigating possible connections between Epstein and Democratic figures, including Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, and Larry Summers.
In the same message, the U.S. President wrote that the House Oversight Committee can do whatever it is legally entitled to; it doesn’t matter to him. What matters is that Republicans focus on main issues: the economy, purchasing power, reducing inflation, cutting costs, attracting investment, rebuilding the military, border security, and other achievements.
Trump also wrote that if the Democrats had anything against him, they would have released it before last year’s election. Some Republican Party members have been exploited, and we shouldn’t let this happen. Let’s be proud of our achievements and not fall into the Epstein file trap, which is actually a Democratic trap, not ours.
Trump’s message to congressional Republicans comes as Pam Bondi, Attorney General under the Trump administration, said on Friday that the Department of Justice will launch an investigation following the release of emails showing connections between some prominent Democratic figures and Epstein.
