Trump to impose 100% tariffs if BRICS eliminates the dollar
Donald Trump, the elected President of the United States, threatened BRICS member countries, stating that if they attempt to abandon the dollar in their trade exchanges, they should say goodbye to the American market.
Mr. Trump described the idea of BRICS member countries dropping the US dollar in their mutual trade as a failed concept in a message posted on his Truth Social account, writing that the time when BRICS countries could try to distance themselves from the dollar while we just watched is over.
In another part of this message, he wrote that these countries must commit to neither creating a new BRICS currency nor supporting any other currency to replace the powerful US dollar. Otherwise, they will face 100% tariffs and must say goodbye to selling their goods in the exceptional US economy.
The elected President of the United States emphasized that BRICS has no chance of replacing the US dollar in international trade.
