Trump: No country wanted to continue bombing Iran

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said world leaders welcomed the understanding reached between Washington and Tehran, and no country wanted to continue military attacks against Iran.

He said world leaders were happy that we reached an agreement, all of them without exception.

Trump added that not a single country came to us and said, ‘Please continue bombing them.’

The U.S. President also said that continued conflict could have had widespread economic consequences.

He stated, ‘I did not want to witness an economic disaster. If the situation had continued, such a thing could have happened.’

Trump, referring to the reaction of financial markets to news of negotiations and peace, said every time we talked about peace, the stock market would rise.

He further added, ‘The stock market is the smartest of all, smarter than anyone present here on this stage, except for myself, of course.’
