Trump sends Whitkoff and Kushner to Pakistan for peace talks with Iran

According to CNN and quoting two government officials, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is sending his special envoys, Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, to Pakistan this weekend to participate in peace talks.

These officials stated that J.D. Vance, the Vice President of the United States, still does not intend to participate in these talks because Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, is also not participating. Within the White House, Ghalibaf is considered the head of the Iranian delegation and Vance’s counterpart.
