Trump made these remarks on Monday in an interview with Fox News, statements that were released simultaneously with the consultations between Tehran and Muscat regarding the passage route of ships through the Strait of Hormuz
Iran’s Foreign Ministry had previously announced that Tehran and Muscat had reached an agreement on the passage route of ships through this strait, and Oman had positively evaluated the negotiations conducted in this regard
The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz was one of the main topics discussed in the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States
However, Tehran currently states that there are no negotiations underway with the United States
