Trump: We targeted Iran’s facilities and commanders, not the entire army

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, claimed that the U.S. attacks fully achieved the designated objectives in Iran, but Washington deliberately refrained from targeting the entire military structure of Iran.

He said, ‘We destroyed 100% of the intended targets,’ and added that the U.S. targeted facilities and some senior commanders.

Trump also claimed that they largely did not target the Iranian army because they believe part of it has a moderate approach.

The U.S. President emphasized that Washington avoided the complete destruction of Iran’s army and country structures, as such an action could disrupt a country’s reconstruction process for decades.

Referring to the Iraq war, he said, ‘What happened in Iraq was a mistake; in fact, we should not have entered Iraq in the first place.’
