The Anniversary of Trump’s JCPOA
September 9 marks the anniversary of a special event in the history of Iran-U.S. relations. Ted Cruz, the Tea Party, and Iranian political activists opposing the JCPOA, along with other politicians opposed to Obama, organized a large rally against the JCPOA in 2015. They invited Trump, who had announced his candidacy for the 2016 elections, to make noise and gain attention. Trump took the stage, and Ted Cruz was sidelined, marking the beginning of Ted Cruz’s electoral decline, even though he was himself a candidate.
