Trump’s return to his former Twitter
Trump was banned from Twitter after the January 6, 2021 riot, and he no longer had a presence on social media platforms. Various platform managers were forced to ban him from these platforms.
He launched his own social network and by establishing a media company managing this platform, he gained a good position among his supporters. The company has no income and has been registering losses continuously. Elon Musk also made a significant change to Twitter by buying it for over $40 billion and reopened the platform to extremists, racists, and conspiracy theorists by changing its name.
Despite Musk’s invitation for Trump to return, who has his own platform, he showed no interest. A key point about these two individuals is their mutual dislike in recent years. Trump despised Musk and openly insulted and belittled him.
Elon Musk was also considered a liberal and forward-thinker who was actively supporting clean energy and the production of electric cars. This image of Musk was actually raw and ambiguous because Musk had spoken less about social and racial issues, and suddenly showed his true colors and became a supporter of extremists. These two, hosted on Trump’s Twitter account in the past, revealed Trump’s true intentions on Platform X, and like an event Musk had arranged for SpaceX, it was accompanied by multiple technical issues and delays in the program.
More than 15 million viewers listened to these two during the program’s peak, naturally leading to significant decreases in viewership. Musk, who was once again in trouble, blamed hackers for the technical issues. This conversation was supposed to present a positive image of Trump and somewhat reconstruct his reputation, but despite the softness in his words, Trump continued his insults towards others and persisted in his perpetual remarks about Harris.
Even Musk’s attempt to present a better image than Trump by shifting the discussion to clean energies and electric vehicles did not succeed. Trump said these things have no place in his world, threw away the mask, and stated that he is waiting for Tesla to install solar batteries on the roofs of its production cars. Trump will soon focus on his major election rallies in key states and will revisit Pennsylvania, the state where his famous meeting was left unfinished due to his unsuccessful assassination attempt.
