Turkey issues international arrest warrant for Netanyahu
The 11th Istanbul High Criminal Court, during the proceedings regarding the seizure of the fleet bound for Gaza, has issued an order for an international arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel.
According to Turkish media reports, the charges against Netanyahu include crimes against humanity, genocide, intentional harm, and torture. This case is being processed within the framework of a complaint about the seizure of the humanitarian fleet.
The important legal point is that this decision does not mean the issuance of an Interpol red notice or definite international arrest. The Turkish court has ordered that the related request be submitted for international pursuit, and its review will be in the hands of competent international authorities.
