Turkey removed from the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force

Turkey has been removed from the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF)

The Turkish Minister of Finance announced on social media that we have succeeded in getting Turkey off the FATF gray list.

The sixth plenary meeting of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) under the umbrella of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is being held in Singapore from June 23 to 28.

According to a statement released by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, two countries have been removed from the gray list in this meeting.

The plenary session congratulated Turkey and Jamaica for their progress in addressing strategic deficiencies in combating money laundering and terrorist financing (AML/CFT) that had previously been identified in mutual evaluations.

The plenary session decided that Turkey and Jamaica will no longer be subject to increased monitoring by FATF.
