The Turkish Foreign Minister: Our first priority should be ending Israel’s occupation.

Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, in response to a question about the potential impacts of the Israel-Iran tension on the region, said that the occupation of Palestinian lands by Israel and the unconditional support of the West for it is one of the main reasons for the instability problem in the Middle East.

Fidan stated that we should not rely on things that overlook this issue and said our first priority should be ending Israel’s occupation and implementing the two-state solution formula.

Fidan pointed out that if this does not happen, tensions in the region will continue, and said if this crisis is not resolved as it should be, if the Palestinians are not given the independent and sovereign state they deserve, such crises will occur.

Other countries should not indulge in such luxuries.

The Turkish Foreign Minister stated that whatever happens regarding Palestine creates global fault lines.
