The President of Turkey: Syria should not be divided again

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, announced on Tuesday, December 11, that Syria should not be divided again and Turkey will respond to any action that threatens the territorial integrity of this country.

He emphasized that Turkey opposes any action against the freedom of the Syrian people, the stability of the new government, and the territorial unity of this country.

Erdoğan also stressed Turkey’s concerns about the influence of Kurdish separatists in Syria.

In this regard, Turkish-backed forces in northern Syria have launched operations against areas under Kurdish control.

In addition, the Turkish Foreign Minister urged Kurdish forces not to use the situation that arose after Assad’s removal to expand their influence.
