Following the publication of articles about Douglas Emhoff, the husband of Kamala Harris, in the Daily Mail, a right-wing and controversial British magazine, he quickly reacted and officially admitted to having an extramarital relationship during his first marriage conflict. Apparently, this relationship was with his son’s teacher. While Republicans had set the stage for a wave of advertisements against Harris in this regard, Emhoff’s first wife also officially announced that their separation was due to multiple factors and that their relationship had gradually turned into friendship and mutual support after the separation. He considers himself, his ex-wife, and Harris as fully members of one family. Serious changes have taken place in the Harris campaign, with famous Obama-era managers joining this campaign. The result of these changes is also evident, with a positive and rapid response turning a major weakness into a strength. Now, Harris and his wife are portrayed as a normal family of ordinary people who have experienced divorce and remarriage. The warm relationship between Emhoff’s children and Harris, who is their stepmother, has also presented another positive image of him.
