Twelve human rights activists call for the release of Kasra Nouri

The statement mentions that since 2011, for over a decade, continuous oppression has been inflicted on Kasra Nouri, a free man who, throughout the difficult years of his imprisonment, has never ceased his efforts for the Iranian people’s pursuit of democracy, always fighting and enduring many hardships.

If hope for a bright future for our Iran lies anywhere, it is in the resistance of people like him, who, even in the cold and dark days of prison, have always proclaimed the message of freedom and heralded the liberation of a people who have been oppressed, suppressed, and tortured for decades.

The authors of this statement point out that according to a recent directive from the judiciary, Mr. Nouri should be released, but excuses have been made to prevent this important action from taking place until now.

Keyvan Samimi, Narges Mohammadi, Alieh Motalebzadeh, Leila Hosseinzadeh, Saeed Shirzad, Hasti Amiri, Arash Ganji, Mohammad Habibi, Atena Daemi, Barbad Golshiri, Esmail Bakhshi, and Parastoo Forouhar have signed this statement.
