The UAE Ministry of Interior states that the individuals arrested in the case of Rabbi Kogan’s murder are from Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates says that the three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of the Israeli-Moldovan rabbi are from Uzbekistan.
The ministry released images of the detainees, stating that two are 28 years old and the third is 33 years old.
The three were arrested yesterday afternoon shortly after the body of Tzvi Kogan was discovered in the city of Al Ain, UAE.
The UAE Ministry of Interior has stated that investigations are ongoing, but it has not clarified whether the detainees have been officially charged.
UAE officials have not yet commented on any possible motives.
Rabbi Kogan was a representative of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish organization called Chabad and had a history of service in the Israeli military.
He went missing on Thursday, and his body is expected to be transported to Israel today.
