The UK Health Minister resigned in protest against Starmer’s leadership

Wes Streeting, the UK Health Minister, announced in a letter published on the X network that he has lost confidence in the leadership of Keir Starmer, the country’s Prime Minister, and considers continuing in the government to be unethical.

At the same time, he praised Starmer for his courage and statesmanship on the international stage, saying the British Prime Minister has managed to keep the country away from war with Iran.

Streeting also wrote that the wars in the Middle East and Europe have exacerbated Britain’s internal problems.

This resignation was announced after the Labour Party’s poor performance in last week’s local elections.

The text of the letter did not mention whether he intends to directly challenge Starmer’s leadership or not.
