Ukraine is in Russian territory

Ukraine is on Russian soil.

The unexpected and surprising attack by Ukrainian forces crossing into Russian territory has drawn the attention of experts to the special dimensions of Ukrainian interactions and relations with Western countries. With the entry of Ukrainian soldiers into Russian soil for four days, we witnessed the brave resistance of Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, and the continued warnings from the Russians about their severe response, leading to an unprecedented and full-scale war. What is interesting in this situation is the position of Western countries towards the Ukrainian attack. Ukrainians have crossed unofficial red lines of America and, after the attack, are now in Russian soil with Western-donated F16s, American and German weapons and armored vehicles. They have no intention or plan to carry out a temporary operation. The Pentagon spokesperson mentioned the lack of prior knowledge by the US Department of Defense about the attack. However, no warning or even doubt about this attack has been expressed by Western authorities to the Ukrainians. Some articles in American newspapers were published expressing doubts about the success of this operation but did not go beyond this level.

Ukraine is in Russian territory

Recent reports, especially the special analysis in today’s Financial Times, indicate that Ukraine, which is not in a good position on many battlefronts, is well aware of the need for special concessions in potential negotiations with the Russians. Therefore, it is exploiting the weakness of the Russians and trying to advance as much as possible and use the territories it conquers in negotiations.
