Discovery of an Unexploded 500-Kilogram Bomb in Belgorod, Russia
Russian authorities evacuated seventeen buildings due to the discovery of an unexploded bomb near a site that was previously mistakenly bombed by the country’s military.
On Thursday, the explosion of a bomb in Belgorod, Russia, injured at least three people. The Russian Ministry of Defense immediately announced that the explosion was due to a friendly fire mistake.
Now, the governor of Belgorod province says that on Saturday, an unexploded bomb was found near the same location, leading to the evacuation of seventeen nearby apartments.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not provided further details on the matter, but according to military experts, a powerful 500-kilogram bomb was likely found at the site.
