The U.S. Department of Defense spokesperson says the U.S. is not seeking conflict with Iran.

General Patrick Pat Ryder, spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense, added on Monday local time during a press briefing in Washington, ‘We do not want to witness a wider regional war and are not seeking conflict with Iran.’

The Pentagon spokesperson also stated that no specific information was provided by Iran to the United States regarding the timing or details of an attack on Israel.

Ryder, without mentioning whether the United States was informed of Iran’s plans through its allies, told reporters at the Pentagon, ‘I think what you want to know is whether Iran informed us; no, they did not.’

General Ryder, regarding Israel’s rhetoric about responding to Iran’s military operation ‘Wada Sadiq,’ despite Washington’s support for Israel and their alignment with the U.S. government, claimed that whether Israel decides to retaliate against Iran is Israel’s decision.

To boost the morale of officials in Tel Aviv, the Pentagon spokesperson said, ‘We remain focused on defending Israel and protecting American forces in the region, but we are not seeking conflict with Iran.’

The U.S. Department of Defense spokesperson also said that squadrons of U.S. military fighter jets, which were deployed to the Middle East before Iran’s attack on Israel, will remain in the region to participate in potential future missions.
