The US Department of Energy suggests that the origin of the coronavirus might be laboratory-based.

Findings from the US Department of Energy indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic may have resulted from a leak of the coronavirus from Chinese laboratories.

The Wall Street Journal, citing a classified report from the US National Intelligence Agency that has been provided to the White House and Congress, reported that the new assessment by the Department of Energy aligns it with the FBI, which had previously offered a similar evaluation.

Four other US intelligence agencies still believe that the spread of the coronavirus occurred naturally.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the CIA has not yet been able to reach a conclusion regarding the origin of the virus’s spread.
