US Destroys Ready-to-Launch Missile by Yemen’s Houthis

The United States destroyed a missile prepared to be launched by the Houthis in Yemen

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that a cruise missile, which was supposed to be launched from a Houthi-controlled area in Yemen towards ships in the Red Sea, was destroyed in a defensive action.

According to the CENTCOM report, this action by the United States took place on Tuesday, February 13.

CENTCOM wrote that in a separate incident, an anti-ship ballistic missile was launched from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen towards the Gulf of Aden.

The U.S. military added that U.S. Navy ships tracked the missile but took no action as it was not anticipated to come close to any ships.

Additionally, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to ships present in the area.
