An American official stated that the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States has been signed electronically.
A senior US government official, who remained unnamed, announced that the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States has been electronically signed by Donald Trump and J.D. Vance on one side, and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on the other.
Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, had also mentioned that this memorandum would initially be signed digitally.
According to a BBC reporter in Washington, the official signing ceremony for this memorandum is set to take place on Friday in Switzerland, with J.D. Vance, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner expected to attend.
The Vice President of the United States had previously stated that Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Abbas Araghchi will travel to Geneva for this ceremony.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not ruled out the possibility of meetings between the delegations of the two countries in Switzerland, but has not yet officially announced the final composition of the Iranian delegation or the officials present at the potential signing ceremony.
