The US Treasury Department sanctioned a network of individuals and companies in Iran, Mexico, Hong Kong, and China that were involved in procuring missile and military equipment for the Islamic Republic’s armament.

According to a report published by the US Treasury on its website on Tuesday, June 6, the new sanctions include 10 individuals.

Among the sanctioned individuals, the name of Davood Damghani, the military attaché of the Islamic Republic in Beijing, can also be seen.

The US Treasury Department has accused him of coordinating military purchases from China for the Islamic Republic.

Three Mexican citizens and six Chinese citizens have also been added to the new sanctions along with him.
