The US Secretary of State has traveled to Cairo for ceasefire negotiations.
As part of their efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and reduce tensions in the Middle East, Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, has traveled to Cairo.
Blinken is expected to conclude his trip to the Middle East with meetings with Israeli officials in Tel Aviv.
This comes as Israel has stated that it will intensify its attacks on the city of Rafah, which is filled with refugees in southern Gaza.
Hamas has not yet officially responded to the new ceasefire proposal.
Earlier reports indicated a leadership dispute within Hamas regarding relevant ceasefire proposals.
It appears that the duration of the ceasefire and Hamas’ role in the future of Gaza are major obstacles to the ceasefire proposal.
