The U.S. Department of State announced sanctions on the oil sales network of Iran’s armed forces.

On Tuesday, May 13, the U.S. Department of State issued a statement announcing sanctions on an international network that, on behalf of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and its front company named Sepehr Energy Jahan Nama Pars, has facilitated the shipment of millions of barrels of Iranian crude oil valued at billions of dollars to China.

The statement mentions that the revenue from the sale of this crude oil funds the development of ballistic missiles and drones, the proliferation of the nuclear program, and Iran’s proxy terrorist groups, including the Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping, the U.S. Navy, and Israel.
