The U.S. State Department says five units of the Israeli army have committed gross human rights violations.

The U.S. State Department states that five units of the Israeli army have committed gross human rights violations in isolated incidents but mentioned they will still receive U.S. military support.

All the cases referred to by the U.S. occurred outside of Gaza before the current war.

The U.S. State Department says the Israeli government has taken disciplinary actions in four units and provided additional information regarding the fifth unit.

This means that all these units remain eligible to receive aid from the U.S.

This is the first time Israeli army units have been accused by the U.S. of human rights violations.
