The Vice President for Legal Affairs: I wish the Crescent case had never been formed

Majid Ansari told reporters that the ruling issued for Crescent amounts to 2.7 billion dollars, and this case is not insignificant.

The case is still ongoing, and Crescent 2 and 3 are also being reviewed in the court. Our International Legal Center’s legal department is cooperating with the Ministry of Oil, which is responsible for this matter.

He further stated that the speed of the case’s progress depends on the reasons and evidence presented. We hope that at least in the continuation of the Crescent-related cases, we can achieve legal benefits, and no additional convictions will be imposed on the Islamic Republic.

In any case, we wished that more prudent measures had been taken at the time, and that the Crescent case had never been formed.
