Vida Rabani’s lawyer reports on the hunger strike of this political prisoner

The lawyer of Vida Rabani, an imprisoned political activist, announced that his client has gone on a hunger strike in protest against her detention conditions.

Hassan Asadi Zaidabadi announced on Monday that Vida Rabani began her hunger strike on February 6th. According to him, this political activist was beaten during her detention at the Sari Intelligence Detention Center.

Earlier, Vida Rabani’s husband also mentioned that during a visit at Tonekabon prison, he observed bruises on her body. According to this report, Ms. Rabani was transferred to Tonekabon prison after being detained in Sari, a city where she does not reside.

Vida Rabani was arrested following the December killings and signing a critical statement against the leader of the Islamic Republic.
