Volodymyr Zelensky: US Aid Shows Ukraine Will Not Become Another Afghanistan

Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the aid from the United States shows that Ukraine will not become the second Afghanistan.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with Anbisi TV network, said that the aid package approved by the US House of Representatives sends a strong message to the Kremlin that Ukraine will not be the second Afghanistan.

Mr. Zelensky, on Monday, April 2nd, emphasized the importance of long-range weapons and air defense systems on the Ukrainian front to the American network, expressing hope that the approval process of these bills in the Senate will accelerate so that they can be implemented within the next 6 to 9 months.

He stressed that this aid gives the country an opportunity for victory and Kyiv will be able to defend itself against Russia.

The US House of Representatives, after months of opposition to the request of the Biden administration, approved several proposed aid packages, including support for Ukraine.
