Wang Yi: China supports Iran’s sovereignty and security; negotiation is the solution to the crisis
Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister, in a meeting with Ali Bagheri Kani in Beijing, stated that China supports Iran in safeguarding its sovereignty and security. He emphasized that the parties involved in Middle Eastern conflicts should focus on political solutions, dialogue, and negotiation instead of resorting to weapons again. Xi Jinping, the President of China, also mentioned in a meeting with the Sultan of Oman that the Middle East and the Persian Gulf should not become a battleground for the competition of major powers.
