The war with Iran increased the cost of living for Americans.
According to a joint survey by the Associated Press and the NORC Center, 64% of American voters consider the war with Iran to be one of the important issues in their electoral decision-making. Additionally, 84% of participants identified living costs as one of the most important election issues.
The New York Times, in a report, addressed the increasing pressure of living costs on American families and wrote that the rise in prices of essential goods and services has forced even citizens with medium and relatively high incomes to reduce expenses and forgo some aspects of their lifestyle.
Alongside other economic factors, the war with Iran and Middle Eastern tensions have also exacerbated inflationary pressures through the increase in oil prices. The rise in food prices and daily expenses has further reduced the purchasing power of American households.
