Washington: We are ready for serious negotiations with Iran, but with eyes wide open.

The U.S. representative at the Security Council on Friday, after the vote to extend sanctions against Iran, said Iran has not adhered to its commitments, and the three European countries that have remained in the JCPOA and are committed to it can activate the snapback mechanism.

Dorothy Shea, praising Europe’s resolve, announced that the Trump administration, as the U.S. President has repeatedly stated, is ready to negotiate.

She said that although we desire a return to diplomacy, there is still a chance for real diplomacy.

The U.S. representative at the Security Council emphasized that we should not allow Iran to play with the world and squander the opportunity.
