The head of the Sports Fraction of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said that he is optimistic about the performance of the Iranian national team in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Mohammad Mehdi Farvardin, on the sidelines of the Iranian national football team’s training on Monday, stated that they conveyed the message of the Iranian nation to the team members and said that the heart of the nation beats with love for them. The national team players promised to play with all their might, and I have no doubt that good things will happen. In the parliament, we fully support the national players and this team is the hope of the people.
He emphasized that we had a short preparation period and the Football Federation supported the national team. The players are united both mentally and technically to make good things happen.
In response to the question of whether any rewards are considered for the national players, he said the national players do not play for rewards. The World Cup is a launching pad for the players, and making the people happy is important to them. We are obliged to provide what is deserving of the national players and we will not fall short. We will have a meeting with the President with the presence of the national team’s coaches and players, and I hope to get a promise for a special reward from the President.
