Yalda Moayeri’s father: My daughter is imprisoned for taking photos

Gholamreza Moayeri, the father of Yalda Moayeri, an Iranian photographer who has been in prison for three months, stated in a tweet that his daughter was arrested solely for taking photos and is currently incarcerated in Qarchak prison. He wrote that Yalda Moayeri suffers from a gastrointestinal illness.

Yalda Moayeri is a news photographer who was arrested on September 21 during the 2022 uprising in Iran following the death of Mahsa Amini on Hijab Street in Tehran.
