An Iranian diplomat led the Eid al-Fitr prayer behind the Taliban’s prime minister.

He participated in the Eid al-Fitr prayer on Friday, led by the Taliban’s prime minister in Kabul. Iran has declared Sunday as Eid al-Fitr.

The national television, which is run by the Taliban, reported that diplomats from Islamic countries, including Iran and Pakistan, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer led by Shahabuddin Delawar, the Minister of Mines of the Taliban, at the Presidential Palace.

On Friday, senior Taliban officials also held another Eid prayer in Arg.

It has been reported that former President Hamid Karzai, who is currently in Kabul, did not attend any of these two Eid prayers. It is said that Abdullah Abdullah has traveled to India during the month of Ramadan.
