The addition of the word 'step' as an adjective to the Brazilian dictionary

The word ‘پله’ (meaning ‘ladder’ in English) has been added as an adjective to the Brazilian dictionary.

A Brazilian dictionary has added the word ‘پله’ to its collection of words. This word is a tribute to one of the greatest football players in the world, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, also known as Pelé. It is used as an adjective to describe someone who is exceptionally unique and incomparable.

In its statement on Thursday, the Michaelis Portuguese dictionary announced that this decision was made after conducting a campaign and collecting over 125,000 signatures in support of paying tribute to this renowned Brazilian player.
