Trump’s Indictment and Enhanced Security Measures in New York

According to Iran Gate, Mayor Adams addressed his supporters of his former president to control themselves. This city is not a place for unjust anger. Control yourself and behave well. This city is not a place for your unwarranted anger. This warning was issued by Eric Adams, the Democratic mayor of New York.

Addressing Trump supporters who gathered in Manhattan today and intend to hold another rally in front of the courthouse in the southern district to protest against the first historic indictment of former President Donald Trump, at 2:30 pm US time.

Invitation from the Mayor of New York

Adams continues to directly request peace from one of the most extreme current Republican leaders, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, and not to create tension and conflict. These statements immediately provoked a reaction from Taylor, who condemned the mayor’s remarks as a personal threat.

Taylor Greene organized a peaceful demonstration with members of the Young Republican Club of New York and several other conservative members. So far, tension has only remained in the realm of hypothesis and words.

Trump arrived in New York City yesterday and was welcomed by only a limited number of his supporters. It is possible that their numbers will increase today. Meanwhile, the United States Intelligence and Security Agency has announced that it has not received any news based on widespread and coordinated mobilization or the threat of violence and conflict.

City Preparedness

Adams and New York officials stated that due to the experience of the attack on the Congress building on January 6, 2021, by supporters of the former president, they have taken necessary precautionary measures. They armored the courthouse entrances, blocked nearby streets, and deployed a small army of 35,000 police officers on the streets.

In a statement to reassure the people of New York City, Adams stated that New York is always prepared. At least for now, it can be claimed that Trump will come to court without much fanfare. He will be accompanied by an escort of undercover personnel and will enter the courthouse through a secondary entrance.

24 Hours in Manhattan

Former President Donald Trump will actually stay in New York for about 24 hours in total and will immediately return to Florida. It appears that he wants to hold a press conference, the purpose of which is to condemn what he believes is politically motivated harassment and abuse against his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election.

Currently, it seems that his popularity is increasing, at least among Republicans. If anything other than that happens, it will be to the advantage of his main rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is currently actively preparing for a campaign, although he does not have Trump’s charisma.

Court

Certainly, the moment Trump enters Center Street #100, it will be a momentous moment for him. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, led by Alvin Bragg from the Democratic Party, officially heard his indictment today. The indictment includes approximately 34 charges of fraud and forgery of financial documents to conceal a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels in order to buy her silence about her relationship with Trump. According to rumors, at least one of these 30 serious crimes is likely to be considered a violation of campaign finance laws.

Court Procedure

In this procedure, it is predicted that Trump will be arrested by authorities for fingerprinting, but it is very likely that his photo will not be taken and he will enter the court without handcuffs. After fingerprinting, he will not have to wait in a temporary cell according to the usual court procedure for the first session. Instead, he will be directly transferred to the designated floor of the court. Judge John Marchant, who is currently the case handler for Trump’s related cases and his business, is appointed as the presiding judge.

Camera Ban in Court

Late yesterday afternoon, Marchant accepted the request of Trump’s lawyers to ban cameras inside the trial venue, which is somewhat surprising and rare, especially when it comes to Trump, who is usually fond of being the center of attention.

Judge John Marchant, who is presiding over the trial of former US President Donald Trump, announced that he will not allow the media to enter the courtroom. He rejected requests from several media outlets, including CNN, to cover and broadcast this historic trial.

In addition, having laptops, mobile phones, and other mobile devices will not be allowed. Before starting the proceedings, only a group of five photographers will be present. The judge explained the motivation behind this decision, stating that it cannot be denied that this indictment is related to a very important matter. However, he emphasized that filming in the hallways of the court is allowed.

Trump Leaves the Court

After one hour in the Manhattan court, where 34 charges against him were read, Donald Trump left. After the session, Trump did not answer reporters’ questions. He declared innocence after all 34 charges related to porn star Stormy Daniels were read.

According to ABC News, one of the indictments includes a conspiracy. In addition, Trump is accused of having a relationship with another woman named Karen McDougal, a former Playboy bunny, at the same time as Stormy Daniels, and paying her hush money as well. The next court session will be held on December 4th.
