The records of election expenses in America have been broken.
The United States is currently experiencing its most expensive midterm elections in history. The influx of money from parties and candidates in this year’s elections has disrupted many records, and compared to previous midterm elections, the amount of money spent in elections is astonishingly high.
Election advertisements in states like Georgia and Arizona, with the total election expenses equivalent to several states under normal circumstances, can themselves make the total expenses in these states the most expensive in the world’s electoral history, given the campaign trends and expected competition in the Senate race in Georgia.
Elections in America create one of the most important employment trends, generating high cash flow cycles. This includes supporting youth through the establishment of active groups in campaigns, creating temporary jobs in think tanks, injecting astonishing amounts of money into the media, especially television and radio networks, increasing the income of postal service networks, and boosting the economy in various regions due to the relatively sudden influx of capital into networks and civic structures.
Considering the cost incurred in this year’s astonishingly competitive elections, it is remarkable that without holding presidential elections, the expenses of this electoral period have been almost as high as two years ago.
