Majority of drivers have recently purchased new cars involved in fatal accidents.

The Director General of the Office of Safety and Traffic at the Road and Transportation Organization stated that since the start of the holidays until today, the reported number of casualties from Norooz accidents has exceeded 500, which shows a 6% increase compared to Norooz 1401.

Farhad Mehrayari emphasized that 45% of the recorded accidents during the Norooz days were rollover accidents, mostly resulting in injuries and fatalities due to the lack of vehicle safety.
