Trend News Agency reports that Fazil Mustafa, the representative of the Parliament in Azerbaijan, has been targeted with malicious intent near his home and is currently undergoing treatment.

According to Trend, this malicious act was carried out on Tuesday night, March 28, using a Kalashnikov rifle.

He has been shot in the shoulder and right leg, but he is not facing a life-threatening situation.

The Security Organization of the Republic of Azerbaijan stated that a search operation is underway to identify the attacker and other perpetrators.

A Telegram channel reported on this attack, stating that Fazil Mustafa is considered one of the staunch enemies of the Shia religion in Azerbaijan, where the majority of the population follows this religion.
