12 People Arrested in Garmsar for Eating During Ramadan on Sizdah Bedar

12 people were arrested in Garmsar for eating during Ramadan on Sizdah Bedar.

Vahid Mohammadi, the prosecutor of Garmsar, announced the arrest of 12 people for eating during Ramadan on Sizdah Bedar and stated that these citizens were detained while implementing the plan to deal with those breaking the norms of the holy month of Ramadan by eating in public and insulting fasting customs.

According to him, the implementation of this plan on Nature Day, Sizdah Bedar, involved inspections of recreational areas and parks, and legal cases were filed for the 12 detainees.

Mr. Mohammadi said that on the 15th of Farvardin, a group of norm-breakers were arrested in public for drinking alcoholic beverages, and several of their motorcycles were confiscated.

The overlap of Ramadan and the Shia mourning nights with the days of Nowruz has become a challenge for the Islamic Republic.
