15 Teenagers in Hamedan Poisoned Following Power Outage in Private Pool

15 teenagers in Hamadan poisoned following a power outage in a private pool

The head of the emergency medical center at Hamadan University of Medical Sciences announced that 15 teenagers were poisoned in one of the city’s private pools due to an unexpected power outage.

Mohammadreza Shokoohi stated on Tuesday, referring to the incident that occurred last night, that 12 of the affected individuals were discharged after treatment, while three others remain hospitalized at Ekbatan Hospital.

According to Ali Haghighi, the director-general of sports and youth in Hamadan, the sudden power outage caused the pool’s water filtration system to fail, leading to the poisoning of the teenagers present in the pool.

He added that this pool is managed by the private sector and emphasized that the physical condition of all the teenagers has improved, with only one person still under care, who according to doctors, will also be discharged soon.
