17 tourist centers were sealed for not observing the hijab.
Ali Asghar Shalbafan, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, mentioned that so far 258 centers have received 41 warnings and 17 units have been suspended.
He stated that efforts are being made to reopen the tourist sites and accommodations before Nowruz.
News sources have reported the sealing of several accommodation centers in various cities, including the Ameriha House Hotel in Kashan, Matin Abad Ecocamp in Natanz, Isfahan, Chah Arous Palm Grove in Abuzeydabad, Kashan, Deir-e Gachin Caravanserai in Qom, and a nature park in Yazd, due to non-compliance with Islamic codes and not observing the Islamic hijab.
Hormatollah Rafiei, the head of the Association of Air Travel Service Offices, also commented on the sealing of tourism centers and accommodations, saying that the government is not implementing the right policies in this regard.
He said that if the authorities believe an individual has committed an offense, why are the tourism units and historical sites being sealed?
Mr. Rafiei added that sealing tourism units and accommodations causes significant harm to tourism and agitates the community.
