A $200 Million Misconduct by the Ministry of Defense

Energy Press: A representative of the people of Tehran in the Islamic Consultative Assembly pointed out the investigation into the performance of petrochemical companies, stating that a subsidiary of the Ministry of Defense offered a discount to one of the buyers, which is a very significant figure. At the moment, I do not want to announce a number, but estimates may exceed $200 million, which, of course, requires examination and verification in the investigation.

Mojtaba Rezakhah, in an interview with Energy Press regarding the investigation into the performance of petrochemical companies, stated that this issue has been on our agenda for a year and a half, and I was the designer of it myself.

Four ministries, subsidiaries of the Ministry of Defense, subsidiaries of the Ministry of Oil, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Labor are considered in this investigation.

Misconducts were observed in the Ministry of Defense’s subsidiaries, and although there were efforts to conceal these misconducts, they were confirmed by some supervisory bodies. Unfortunately, one of the Ministry of Defense’s subsidiaries offered a discount to one of the buyers, which is a very significant figure.
