50% Increase in Medical Tariffs Approved for the New Year

A 50% increase in medical tariffs for the new year has been approved

The Deputy of Technical and Supervision of the Medical System Organization announced the approval and determination of the rates for healthcare service tariffs for 2024 in the first cabinet meeting of the new year

Dr. Reza Laripour, referring to the Supreme Insurance Council’s resolution for a 46% increase in 2024 medical tariffs, which needed final approval by the cabinet, said that although the tariffs did not reach the cabinet before the new year, this year, with the efforts of the President of the Medical System Organization and the cooperation of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the tariff rates were approved in the first cabinet meeting, earlier than last year

Laripour continued, therefore, the official visit rate has increased, with the overall tariffs amounting to nearly 50%, and the technical and professional components of the global overall tariff increase are predicted to be close to 40%, so that medical centers can maintain minimal operations with these tariff rates in 2024
