5.6 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Khoy County

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake shook the city of Khoy.

Zabihullah Kazemi, the governor of Khoy, stated that the earthquake caused minor damages.

According to him, initial assessments indicate that the damages are minor, limited to the collapse of yard walls and cracks in old walls.

Mr. Kazemi also mentioned that water and electricity in some villages in this city have been cut off, and landslides have blocked some local roads.
