$67,450 fine for Iran in the Asian Cup

The Asian Football Confederation fined Amir Ghalenoei $10,000 for missing a television interview after the match against Qatar.

In the third clause of the ruling against the head coach of Iran’s national team, it is emphasized that a more severe penalty will be imposed if repeated.

Ghalenoei’s refusal to comply with regulations in the television interview led to the players also not participating in interviews. As a result, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Mehdi Taremi were each fined $10,000, and the federation was also ordered to pay $10,000.

The federation must also pay $3,000 due to a fan, Akbar Bazmjou, from the Basij organization in Boumahan, invading the pitch, which will be deducted from Iran’s revenues.

The AFC added $1,250 for the delay in entering the pitch and $4,200 for the cards against Syria to Iran’s fines.

Saeid Ezatolahi was fined $5,000 for questioning the confederation’s decision in selecting the referee and questioning his impartiality, and Shoja Khalilzadeh was fined $2,000 for a severe foul leading to a red card against Qatar.
