The Lebanese Health Minister announced on Tuesday, September 18, that pager explosions have resulted in the death of 9 people and injured 2800 others, with the condition of at least 200 injured being critical.

Earlier, a Lebanese militia stated in a statement that on Tuesday afternoon, several pagers used by some employees of units and institutions exploded, resulting in the death of a young girl and two members of this group.

In a second statement, this group accused Israel of being responsible for these explosions and declared that the enemy will be punished for this aggression.

Two sources from Lebanon said that tents have been set up in the Dahiyeh area, located in the southern suburbs of Beirut, for blood donations.

Iranian media report that Mojtaba Amani, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Beirut, has also been injured.
